BAGS AND APPAREL MADE OF MATERIALS WHICH WENT TO STRATOSPHERE
Stratopacks brand is closely connected to space - from the family history of the brand's founder, Oleg Savin, to the minute details of bags and jackets which literally went to stratosphere. That's why each Stratopacks bag and jacket combines a really out-of-this-planet past with modern and practical design.
WHO ARE WE?
Who are we?
Oleg was born in Baikonur. The older generation worked in the space industry - that's where a special attitude towards the creations of Soviet engineers came from, which will later become a foundation for creative ideas. Oleg himself designed military and tactical equipment for more than 10 years, as well as movie props and costumes. In 2018, after working on Ilya Naishuller's music video for Leningrad's song "Tsoy", Oleg was left with lots of high-altitude and anti-g jumpsuits. Parts for the first bags were cut out of these jumpsuits with laser. Thus came the idea to re-use the flight equipment - high-altitude jumpsuits, backpacks and parachute canopies. In the course of the work the principal features of the brand emerged. First, using creations of Soviet scientists and engineers, tested by hundreds of spaceflights. Second, saving the peculiarities of design and functional elements and fittings. Third, uniqueness of each piece thanks to craft production and conscious rejection of mass manufacturing.
